Khaled Youssef nominates Nour El Sherif, Youssra , Hemaida and Khaled Saleh for “Awlad Haretna”

Director Khaled Youssef has begun his preparations to convert the infamous novel “Awlad Haretna” or “Children of our Alley” by the late legendary international novelist Naguib Mahfouz into a movie, in response to the Salafi extremists severe criticism that fell upon the novel and its author. According to Al Tahrir newspaper, director Khaled Youssef has nominated actress Youssra to play the role of “Awatef”, Nour El Sherif for the role of “Gabalawi”, Mahmoud Hemaida for the role of “Gabal” and Khaled Saleh, Amr Saad and Horeya Farghali for the other characters in the movie. Khaled Youssef’s most recent movie was “Palm of the Moon” that starred Ghada Abdel Razek, Khaled Saleh and Jumana Mourad. The movie was written by Naser Abdel Rahman.
