The Egyptian Union stops any cooperation with Tunisian Artists!

After the recent statement made by the Tunisian Minister of Culture about refusing the participation of singer Sherine and Tamer Hosni in Carthage Festival; the head of Music in the Egyptian Artists union “Wael Al Tanahi” announced that they held an emergency board meeting to discuss this decision. The board and the chairman Dr. Nabil Rizq have decided to stop all cooperation with Tunisian artists until the Minister explains his decision and to submit all reasons behind it. They also demanded that those reasons must be legal and convincing for the Egyptian people and the Egyptian artist. Al Tanahi also announced that they regret taking such a decision, however, they were forced to take it and they will only re-consider it after the statement from the Minister with a reasonable and legal explanation that respects the dignity of the Egyptian artist inside and outside of Egypt.
