Yesterday, the Journalist critic Khaled Mahmoud chaired a seminar about the Algerian movie "Nourmal" in Luxor International Festival for African Cinema. During the seminar, Yasmine sultan, the Algerian heroine of the movie sultan explained that the Algerian authorities refuse giving them permission to display the movie which is prevented till now in Algeria, however exposed Morocco and Tunisia festivals and received the first award in "Tribeca" festival.She also mentioned that the movie includes some phrases related to the recent political events in Egypt and Tunisia in addition to dealing with the issues that concerns the Algerian citizen and reflecting the youth problems. She continued saying "We are sick of witnessing the ships drowning in the Strait of Tarek's mountain with Algerian young men onboard dreaming to travel to Europe while their country needs them badly". Talking about the existence of racial discrimination, she answered saying" As Africans and Islamic-Arab society we still face discrimination"She explained the accent crisis that presents a huge problem in marketing the Algerian and Moroccan movies depends on the matter of accustoming. If these movies got displayed on the Egyptian TV the audiences will get used to it, the same that happened when the Moroccan and Algerian audiences got used to the Egyptian and Syrian language.
