“Hakawy” celebrates childhood and honors artists.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the management of Hakawy International Arts Festival for Children is ready to start its 2nd Edition which will take place on 21 March to 28 March. “Hakawy” is a project by AFCA for Arts and Culture and it is considered the first dedicated festival for children where it presents shows of music, theatre, dance and puppets for children only using different aspects by professional artists.“Hakawy” this year welcomes shows from France, England, Germany, Russia and Egypt. The opening night at Gomhoreya Theatre is on 21 March and will start at 7 pm with the famous show “El Leila El Kebira” and followed by an honorary ceremony for a number of artists like Gamal Ismail, Abd El Rahman Abu Zahra, Samir Sabri, Madiha Hamdi, Ahmed Maher, Athar El Hakim, Eman El Bahr Darwish, Manal Abd El Latif, Hala Fakher, Ahmad Nabil, Sheri Adel, Ahmed Zaher and his two daughters and Menna Arafa.
