“Hawa” takes Sulaf Fawakhirjy to Muscat International Film Festival

“Hawa” a film that focuses on the life of a divorced nurse “Amal” who lives with her son. Her only dream of life was to have a house that will shelter her small family, but she suffers from the bad treatment from her society after her divorce. Playing the role of “Amal” is Sulaf Fawakhirji where she travelled to Muscat to attend the film premier in the Muscat International Festival that is taking place from 28 March to 31 March.Sulaf expressed her happiness for this invitation and hopes the film will be as successful as hoped for. She said that everyone spent enormous effort in this film and it deserves this recognition. The film is adopted from a novel by Haifaa Bitar, directed by Wahet Al Raheb and produced by the Syrian Cinema Association. Sulaf admits that she is going late for the festival as she was busy shooting her scenes in the new series “Al Masabeeh Al Zarqaa –Blue Lanterns” which is adopted from a novel by Syrian author Hanna Mina, script by Mahmoud Abd El Karim and directed by Fahd Mina. Sulaf will continue shooting the few left scenes upon her return from Muscat.
