300 million dollars in just 20 days made "The hunger games" one of the fastest movies to make such revenues in the history of cinema and still topping the box office so far. Lead actress Jennifer Lawrence stated two reasons why; the first is that it discusses the governments' oppression for their people, the other one is the worldwide obsession with reality TV.The movie is set in a cruel future where an annual competition with the name of "The hunger games" takes place. In this competition they choose a boy and a girl from 12 provinces and release them in the forest. The last one standing is the winner.Lawrence also added that the movie, just like the original novel, shows how governments oppress the people and try to distract them from asking for their rights by stuff like such cruel competition. The 2nd part of the movie goes like a reality TV show, which is something people has been obsessed with big time recently; especially that it is a fight for survival.Filming for The 2nd part of the Trilogy, "Catching Fire", will start next August, to be released November 2013.
