"The Avengers" scores second-best opening with $200 million which was way beyond the expectations of the most optimistic producers from "Marvel" and "Disney". By earning $80 million dollars as it premiered in the USA and collected $69 million and $57 million on the two days after that; the film became the fastest film ever to reach this gross in its week premier and it is expected to increase by the weekend.World-wide, "The Avengers" which was screened 12 days before the USA, earned $658.8 million. Looking at this rate, it can easily take the spot of the fastest film to cross the 1 billion dollar barrier and putting it in the third place of the highest gross films in the history of cinema after James Cameron's "Avatar" of $2.7 billion and "Titanic" that reached $2 billion lately. The all super hero film is directed by Joss Whedon, stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Evans.
