Marilyn Monroe is the icon for Cannes

From veterans like Nicole Kidman to rising actors like Robert Pattinson, all will be walking up the stairs on the red carpet of the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival with the photo of Marilyn Monroe on the wall. The picture of Marilyn will be the official icon for the festival.Despite her fame back in the days, Marilyn never attended Cannes Film Festival in person. Even though one of her films "All About Eve" participated once in the festival and won the Prix de Jury, she wasn't there. The only time she confirmed her attendance was back in 1957, but she later disclaimed because of her pregnancy.
