Steve McQueen has Benedict Cumberbatch on board of his new film.

In this third film after "Hunger" and "Shame"; director Steve McQueen has decided to have English actor Benedict Cumberbatch in his adaptation of Solomon Northup's "Twelve Years a Slave".The story takes place in the mid 1800's about a free colored man "Soloman Northaup" living in New York who was kidnapped and sold into slavery. The film focuses on "Soloman"'s suffering when he becomes a slave to a ranch owner played by Cumberbatch. Brad Pitt is also on board with Michael Fassbender in his third cooperation with McQueen.It's worth mentioning that Cumberbatch has participated last year in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" and "War Horse" which both films nominated to many Oscars.
