French director Chris Marker passes away at the age of 91.

Journalist, photographer and influential French filmmaker, Chris Marker, died at his house the day before yesterday in his house in Paris at the age of 91.Marker was born on 29 July 1921 and started his career as a journalist in a French cinema magazine. He then started writing novels to then start director documentaries in the mid 1950's. The multimedia artist was renowned for his 1962 film "La Jetée" which is about a time-traveling soldier that was presented again by Terry Gilliam in "12 Monkeys" that starred Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt.
