"Crazy for The Storm" from paper to the silver screen, by Sean Penn.

According to Variety.com; Sean Penn is in talks to direct an adaptation of Norman Ollestad's survival memoir "Crazy For the Storm". The novel is a true survival story for Ollestad when he was 11 and got into a plane accident with his father and a friend of his and he was the sole survivor. He then faces the most difficult challenge to stay alive on San Gabriel mountains where the plane crashed.Penn's last directorial experience was in 2007 with "Into the Wild" that starred Emile Hirsch which was nominated for two Oscars.
