At the special premier of the documentary "The House I Live In"; Hollywood star Brad Pitt shared his drug addiction history and how he could've gotten drugs from any American city he landed in within 24 hours.Pitt criticized the current policies concerning drug dealing and said:" We still support this charade called the drug war. We spent a trillion dollars over 40 years and a lot of people have lost their lives over it.”Produced by Pitt and directed by Eugene Jarecki; "The House I Live In" is takes a look inside the criminal justice system in the States and reveals the profound human rights implications of U.S. drug policy through interviews with inmates, drug dealers, narcotics officers and judges. The film received awards from Sundance Film Festival and Silverdox Document viewer.
