Cairo International Film Festival Postponed One Day for Safety Reasons

The administration of the Cairo International Film Festival has decided to push back the opening ceremony of the festival from November 27 to 28.

has learned from the press center of the festival that the reasons for the delay are to ensure the safety of festival attendees and participants. Political demonstrations planned for Tuesday are expected to clog up the roads leading to the Opera House in Zamalek, where the festival is held.

The festival's events are set to run, according to the updated schedule, from November 28 to December 6, 2013.
