At the end of November, Lebanese singer Carole Samaha performed at the UNESCO Theater in Paris for an audience of 1500. She ended up singing for over two hours, as the audience brought her back on stage for not one but two encores!

The concert was heavily attended by members of the Arab community in Paris. Boutros Assaker, the Lebanese ambassador in France, attended the concert, as did many other diplomatic figures and ambassadors.

Samaha sang "Ishtaqna Keteer Ya Habayib" by Zaki Naseef, which made the audience ecstatic. This is her most famous and arguably most beautiful song, and it had everyone in the audience out of their seats, singing and dancing. She also performed a few patriotic songs, like "Taala wa Tetaamar ya Dar," originally sung by the famous Lebanese singer Sabah. She closed the show with "Ragaa Yetamr Lebnan," which again had the adoring audience up and singing along with her.
