Sacha Baron Cohen chooses to be "Miserable" over being "Unchained"

Actor Sacha Baron Cohen revealed that his reasons for turning down Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" were for the most part logistical. He was offered a role in Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables" at the same time. Cohen told Deadline.com that the role in Hooper's film was larger so he chose it instead.

He also said that his film "The Dictator" was still in post production and getting closer to its release, so he had to choose one of the two films he was offered.

The role in "Django Unchained" Cohen was offered was Scotty, a poker player. "The Dictator" star said although it was a great film, his character only had one scene, with Leonardo DiCaprio, compared to a much larger part in "Les Miserables."

Cohen played "Thenardier " in "Les Miserables" which is currently playing in cinemas in Egypt.
