X Factor Lets Go of Britney Spears for Lame Performance

Even though neither the producers nor Spears have confirmed the news, inside sources of X Factor confirmed that American pop star Britney Spears will not be renewing her contract as a judge in the upcoming season.

Many believe that Spears didn't rise to the program's standards as she made many incorrect judgements of the show's contestants, which some attribute to her being busy working on her eighth album. Producer and jury member Simon Cowell has made comments lately about wanting to add Rihanna to the jury instead.

On the other hand, rapper Kevin Federline's brother Christopher has filed a case against Spears claiming he should have custody of her seven-year-old, Sean, saying he is the real father of the child and not his brother Kevin, Britney's ex-husband.
