The youngest best actress nominee ever, Quvenzhané Wallis, walked the red carpet at the Oscars for the first time last night. She may only be 9-years-old, but she cheerfully strutted down the press-infested carpet, answering questions about her newfound fame, her dress and her next project: the title role in an "Annie" remake.

She also confirmed she'd be singing in the movie, saying "I am very excited for everything." She wore a big-sleeved, puffy blue dress that she paired with an equally adorable doggie purse she named Sammie.

Wallis was nominated for her portrayal of the fearless, imaginative Hushpuppy in "Beasts of the Southern Wild," directed by the also very young Benh Zeitlin, 30. Wallis was six when the film was shot.
