Adele's big win at the 85th Academy Awards last month was not only a huge deal for the British star, 24, but also for the Bond franchise, which not only got its first Oscar nomination in over 30 years with " Skyfall," but won its first Oscar in the category of Best Original Song.

Other Bond films have been nominated, but in more technical categories--sound effects and special visual effects. "Skyfall" upped the ante and was hailed by critics and 007 fans alike. It was nominated for five Oscars total.

It's no surprise then that James Bond producers are hoping Adele will get back on board to write a song for the 24th Bond flick, which Daniel Craig is already attached to. A second collaboration would have Adele following in the footsteps of Shirley Bassey, who did three songs for Bond films: "Goldfinger" in 1964, "Diamonds Are Forever" in 1972, and "Moonraker" in 1979. Producers are hoping Adele will become "as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley."

Adele also won the Golden Globe for the haunting link, which sold over three million copies worldwide.
