Amr Waked Starts "Second Wife," Talks Leaving "Maddah 'Amar"

Amr Waked has stated to that today he begins shooting his new show "El Zowga El Thania" (The Second Wife), for which they've constructed an entire rural village in one of the studios by Saqqara. Waked conveyed his excitement at working with material from the late Salah Abu Seif.

The show is schedule to air this coming Ramadan. The script and dialogue were written by Yasin El Daou and Ahmed Sobhy, and it's directed Khairy Beshara. Waked shares the screen with co-stars Ola Ghanem, Ayten Amer, Bassem Samra and Abdel Rahmed Abo Zahra.

Addressing his recent withdrawal from the show "Maddah 'Amar," Waked revealed that the show just did not fit. He insisted that he maintains a good relationship with director Magdy Ahmed Ali, and Media Production City. Waked stressed this point, despite what's been published in the press on their conflicts, including some harsh statements from Magdy Ahmed Ali on Waked, his sudden withdrawal from the show, and his alleged refusal to answer his telephone calls.
