"El Feel El Azraq" Halts Production, as Khaled El Sawy Joins Protests

Director Marwan Wahid Hamed has decided to bring production to a hiatus on "El Feel El Azraq" because of the huge number of actors participating in popular demonstrations against President Mohamed Morsi beginning June 30. Star of the film, Khaled El Sawy, will also be joining the protests in a march led by the Actors Syndicate starting at the Ministry of Culture in Zamalek.

Marwan says he's finished shooting 95% of the film, which is slated for an Eid el-Fitr release.

The film also stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Nelly Karim, Dareen Haddad, and was written by Ahmed Mourad. It revolves around a psychiatrist, Yehia, who works in a hospital in Abasseya that treats criminals, even murders. Yehia discovers an old friend among the patients, and tries to save him but faces many problems.
