Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the hit musical show "Glee," was discovered dead in his Vancouver hotel room this Sunday. The Hollywood newcomer had a wide circle of friends, supporters and fans, and his loss was met with shock and sorrow. His on and off-screen love, Lea Michele, his girlfriend of two years, is reportedly devastated.

The coroner's report has now revealed that the cause of death was a fatal mix of heroine and alcohol. Monteith was only 31, despite his playing a high schooler on the show.

The Canadian star has in the past been forthcoming about his addiction problems, hoping that his honesty would encourage others struggling with similar issues to seek help. Earlier this year, he had voluntarily checked himself into a rehabilitation program, after being in a similar program at age 19.
