Dolly Chahine Refuses to Finish "Ramez Ankhamon" Appearance

Director Bakhos Alwan, husband of Lebanese actress Dolly Chahine, released a joint statement with Dolly's manager to exclusively, providing some context for Dolly's refusal to finish shooting her appearance on the prank show " Ramez Ankhamon" after host Ramez Galal revealed himself and the ruse at hand.

Bakhos told us that Dolly had accepted an invitation to talk about Egypt and the initiative to boost tourism in Luxor. Bakhos even flew with Dolly to Luxor, where he had already been shooting. According to Bakhos, the executives of the show had requested that Dolly travel to Hurghada following the shoot in Luxor. She refused to travel, particularly because the trip is so long.

This didn't stop producers from trying to convince her to travel, which may pushed Bakhos over the edge and caused him to spill the beans to Dolly that it was Ramez Galal behind the shoot. Producers had asked him to keep it a secret from Dolly. But he knew Dolly wouldn't approve of these kinds of shows that intentionally belittle and insult artists.

He claimed that what Ramez does on his show does not constitute a "prank" and the pranks are not good-natured. The host deliberately insults his guests, causing many celebrities to refuse to finish shooting the show.
