Fans of Bruce Willis, and his unforgettable roles in " The Fifth Element," " The Sixth Sense," and the " Die Hard" series, might be surprised to discover that the star was a chart-reaching soul singer for a brief period in the 1980s, backed up by legendary R&B musicians Booker T. Jones and The Temptations.

Willis recently told British newspaper the Yorkshire Post he won't be getting back up on that stage anytime soon: "I shout in key. There are a lot of really good singer in the world and I'm very happy to let them handle that. I just can't stand there and stand the sound of my own voice. It's excruciating."

We'll just have to cherish those '80s gems even more. For your enjoyment, here's "Respect Yourself" which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1987.
