Iman Ghoneim: Working with Adel Imam Was Like my Artistic Birth Certificate

Young actress Iman Ghoneim confirmed that her participation in “Al Araaf” this past Ramadan opposite the legendary Adel Imam was like an artistic birth certificate, as it culminated many long years of her artistic career.

Ghoneim said she had directed all of her energy to embodying her character “Shamam” on the show, and said she paid close attention to Adel Imam’s scenes, even the ones they did not share, as she learned a lot from him and considered him to be of great artistic and historical value.

She also clarified that she was got the role due to director Ramy Imam, who made sure to keep an eye on theater productions she was involved in. Though they were considering much more famous actresses for the role, Ramy Imam chose her without any auditions.

She also revealed that she became aware of the success of her role by chance, after people on the street and on Facebook and Twitter praised her performance.
