Sandra Bullock to Receive Hollywood Career Award

Hollywood Film Awards decided to honor Sandra Bullock with this year's career award. Carlos de Abreu, the awards founder and executive director, said: “We are honoured to present the Hollywood Actress Award to Sandra for her outstanding work in [new film] Gravity. Holding the screen alone for a large part of the film, she delivers a stunning and emotionally layered performance that shows once again why she is one of Hollywood's most respected and popular actresses."

" Gravity” is about a medical engineer (Bullock) in her first space voyage with an astronaut (Clooney) in his last mission before retiring. They work together to survive an accident that leaves them adrift in space.

Previously awarded actresses include Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz.
