Nadine Khan's "Harag We Marag" wins Oran's Big Prize

The 7th Oran Arab Film Festival held its awards ceremony last night, bringing the festival that began on September 23rd to a close.

The Egyptian movie “ Harag We marag” (Hubbub) shared the big prize with the Syrian feature “Mariam.” “Harag We Marag” was directed by Nadine Khan. The best directorial debut went to the Emirati director Nouaf El Genahy for his “Zel El Bahr” (The Sea's Shadow), while the Jury Prize went to the Moroccan feature “El Maghdoub Alihom.”

Fathy El Hadawy won Best Actor for his role in “El Khamis El Ashya” (Thursday evening). The Lebanese Yara Abu Heidar and Jordanian Tahani Saloum shared the best actress prize.

Best screenplay went to the Saudi film “Sada,” while Mahdy Felefel's “Alam Lays Lana” (A World That is Not Ours) won this year's best documentary.
