Ahmed Azmy Hires Lawyers to defend him, The Actors syndicate Is Following The Case

Actor Ahmed Azmy hired two lawyers to defend him against the filed charges of possessing 10 grams of cocaine, two cigarettes of hash and some prescription painkillers.

Azmy was arrested in his apartment in a Sharm El Sheikh resort, where the police found the aforementioned possessions. He has been transferred from the Sharm El Sheikh police station to one in El Tor, and is awaiting trial.

Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, the head of the actors syndicate said to that the syndicate is following the development of the case. He noted that Azmy is a member of the syndicate and that they intended to interfere since the beginning, but they found that Azmy had appointed his own lawyers.

And about the Syndicate's position toward Azmy in case of his conviction, Abdel Ghafour said that it was too early to talk about this as there are still ongoing investigations.
