The 13th Beirut Film Festival screens the French movie “ Trois mondes” (Three Worlds) today. The feature is directed by Catherine Corsini and participated in Cannes' “Un Certain Regard” section this year.

The movie, starring Clotilde Hesme and Raphael Personnaz, is about a hit and run accident of an illegal foreigner that's witnessed by a young woman who succeeds in finding the driver as well as the deceased's wife.

In other news, the head of the festival organization committee commented on the Lebanese censor's decision to ban two movies, one about a homosexual relationship and the other about the issue of temporary marriage, saying that this is a setback to Lebanon's image as a hub of freedom in a conservative region.
