"Villa 69" Premieres at The Abu Dhabi Film Festival Today

Egyptian feature “ Villa 69”premiers today at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. The movie is competingin “New Horizon” section of the festival.

“Villa 69” is the featuredirectorial debut of Ayten Ameen, before that, she made multiple shortsand documentaries. The film is about a man living in solitude withhis weird ideas until characters from his past show up and try to gethim back to the normal life he used to lead. Lead actor Khaled Abul Nagga is supposed to attend the movie premiere. Abul Nagga is alsothe head of jury for the “Child Protection” section of thefestival.

In “New Horizon” still, thefestival screens the Australian movie “Canopy” and the Frenchfeature “My Name is Hmmm...” As part of the features competition,the festival screens three features: Jun Lana's “Barber's Tales,”Hiner Saleem's “My Sweet Pepper Land” and the Chinese movie “ ATouch of Sin.”
