Nasa is Angry about Beyoncé's Shuttle clip

Space agency Nasa has reacted angrilyto a new Beyoncé song that features an audio sample recorded justafter the Challenger shuttle exploded, killing all seven crewmembers.

Nasa issued a statement after after theclip's release saying: "The Challenger accident is an importantpart of our history; a tragic reminder that space exploration isrisky and should never be trivialised."

Beyonce replied to the accusationsissuing a statement saying that her intentions were good: "Thesong XO was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal thosewho have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected thingshappen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with thosewho mean the most to you. The songwriters included the audio intribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope thatthey will never be forgotten."

Reporters could not get a personalreply from her or from her representatives.
