“Elmakhloua' wel Ma'zoul” Joins Khaled Saleh and Amr Abdel Gelil

In an interview with , director Peter Mimi confirmed that he has signed to direct a new film titled “Elmakhloua' wel Ma'zoul” (The Bethroned and the Secluded) with producer Anwar Alam Eldin, who also produced Mimi's latest film “ Saeid Claquette,” which will be released by the end of this month.

Mimi stated that he pitched the film's idea to both Khaled Saleh and Amr Abdel Gelil and that they principally approved to share the lead. He also pointed out that there are thoughts to offer Amy Samir Ghanem the female lead, although negotiations with her are yet to start. Mimi and the producer haven't also decided on a writer to develop the premise.

Peter denied any political references or backdrop to the film, although the film's title suggests so, but the film is about two drug dealers who are competing to win the heart of a girl in their town. Prinicipal photography will commence next April, as the film is planned to be released in the Eid season.
