Colombian councilman and top official Marco Fidel Ramirez has urged bosses at Colombia's National Television Authority to ban the video for Shakira's new song “Can't Remember to Forget You,” in which she was accompanied by Barbadian pop star Rihanna, because it features scenes of the duo getting intimate and rolling around provocatively on a bed wearing skimpy lingerie.

Fidel considered the video to be a “shameless” case for lesbianism and immorality, and a danger to children. "I think the message that Shakira is sending to the youth and children around the world is a message that sells a lifestyle and promotes a particular orientation, that in my opinion, does not reflect the views of most Colombians," Ramirez added.

The clip was released on youtube last week, and reached a whopping count of 72 million views. The single “Can't Remember to Forget You” will be released as part of Shakira's upcoming self-titled album, on the 25th of March.
