Youtube has responded to the petition made by the British Shazad Iqbal last Tuesday, which demanded the ban of Katy Perry's new music video 'Dark Horse,' and was signed by Muslims worldwide.

In the video, Perry appeared as an Egyptian queen in posession of a magical superpower, and transformed a man wearing an 'Allah' symbol-bearing necklace into dust. The scene was considered offensive and 'blasphemous' by some 65,000 Muslims. Youtube's response came quietly, by removing the aforementioned shot from the video, while keeping it intact on the site.

"We couldn't have done it without everyone's support so I thank each and every one of you deeply, our voices have been heard! God bless you all," Shazad Iqbalwrote, expressing his gratitude.

It is not yet known whether Youtube did this upon Katy's request or an autonomous decision.
