The Cairo International Film Festival board have decided to screen the Egyptian independent film " El Ott" once again on Sunday at 10 p.m, due to the overwhelming attendance at the film's premiere on Saturday, in the absence of the film's star Amr Waked due to his presence in France.
The film premiered internationally at Abu Dhabi Film Festival on the 8th of November, where it competed in the feature film category, while it participates in the Arab Cinema Horizons program in Cairo. The film follows the titular character, a gangster who divorces his wife and leaves his family, after his daughter disappears in unknown circumstances. He starts searching for his daughter with all his power, specially after knowing that there is an organ-trafficking clan in his neighborhood.
The film also stars Farouq El Fishawy, Salah Hanafy, Sara Shahin, Amr Farouq and Salma Yaqout, and was directed by Ibrahim EL Batout.
