Khaled Abol Naga Thanks Armed Forces And Police For CIFF

Actor Khaled Abol Naga has expressed his gratitude for the armed forces and the police forces for their effort in securing the closing ceremony of the 36th Cairo international Film Festival, in addition to their security-related efforts throughout the whole ten-day event.

"A well deserved salute to men of the armed forces and the police for securing the Cairo International Film Festival" Abol Naga tweeted. He added: "What made me upset was when one of them asked "Why is Mr. Khaled against us?""

Abol Naga has recently criticized president Abdel Fattah El Sisi, considering all of his promises to fight terrorism false. Some interpreted the his attack on Sisi as an attack on all of the Egyptian military forces and their leaders.

Abol Naga was crowned Best Actor in CIFF's International Competition, and was presented the award by Mahmoud Hemeida.
