The series revolves around Munther Al-Agroudy, whose mother controls all aspects of his life, she even forces him to wear white throughout his life. He tries to choose an independent path, but he gets into trouble that leads him to prison where he meets many people who change his life.
The series takes place in the Askar hamlet between two families, the Ouf family has the land and history, while the Shalaby family work as mercenaries and used illegal methods to create false history for themselves. Will they succeed or roots and origins can't be forged?
The series portrays a close-knit family of a father, a mother, and four daughters, as the daughters follow different paths in life, each with her dreams and aspirations, but what they share in common is their love for what's good, and their willingness to go the extra mile for what they cherish.

When Youssef (Yousif Shaban) divorces his demanding wife Soraya (Fifi Abdo), he walks away leaving the kids with her. Their oldest son marries the daughter of their old neighbors, then dies in a car accident and their life is turned upside down.
Being a psychiatrist, Shahinaz meets with different people, each crippled by a certain hang-up, including Lotfy, a journalist who attacks a minister and gets in trouble, and Ref'aat who left poverty and has become a wealthy businessman, and the humble Sherif who marries a well-off woman.
