Marwan Kishda is deported from France, where he has lived since birth and finds himself in Algeria, a country whose language and culture he knows nothing about. One day, he finds himself sent to the south to do his military service, and there, he finds himself facing the harshest of conditions in the desert, with people very different from himself.
