Set in 12th-century in Al-Andalus and during the reign of Caliph al-Mansur, Philosopher Averroes (Ibn Rushd) becomes in the crosshairs of the political authority, represented by the Caliph, whom he had been a friend of in the past, but he began to harbor feelings of hostility towards him, while an extremist religious group succeeds in recruiting al-Mansur's youngest son.
