As Hafez tells about the defeat of the armies in the Palestine War in 1948, he tells his story, which began with his father Naguib's love story, his abduction at the hands of Haziq Pasha, and his father Sheikh Hassan's attempt to bring him back in vain. Anurin refuses the child's presence in the palace.
Naguib becomes a young man who is attached to Haziq Pasha's daughter, Malak, but the child Sanmar tries to harm him constantly. Anurin accuses Naguib of theft with a plot orchestrated by Sanmar. As years pass by, Anurin refuses Naguib's marriage to Malak.
As Anurin agrees to Naguib's marriage to Malak on the condition that his family doesn't attend, Sheikh Hassan disavows his son Naguib, and the wedding takes place. A dispute arises between Naguib and Anurin due to the extension of her control, as she tries to divorce her daughter from him and abort her.
Naguib is exiled to Sudan and Malak holds on to the baby and gives birth to her son Hafez. As Anurin deprives Malak of seeing her son, Malak's health deteriorates and she dies, so Haziq Pasha follows her. Sad Naguib returns from Sudan, determined to take his son from the palace.
A ruling is issued to return the child Hafez to his father Naguib. Hafez lives with his father in the neighborhood and Anurin travels to Astana. Years pass and the British try to arrest Abdullah Al-Nadim. Hafez and Saad undertake self-sacrifice operations against the British.
As the English forces chase Hafez, he flees to Paris after completing his studies in the Military Academy and learns the art of disguise and make-up with the help of Charlotte. Hafez and his companions disguise themselves and go to Mr. Alan to try to prove Hafez's innocence of the charges against him.
Fedfada tries to collect rent from Farhat Effendi. Hafez remembers the unknown person who killed his father and his horse. Sheikh Hassan's financial and health condition worsens, and he thinks that his grandson Hafez is a fraud. Hafez gets explosives to carry out an operation against the British.
Hafez disguises himself as a French journalist and visits his aunt Aziza in Denshawai to pay off her debts. As circumstances lead him to witness the Denshawai incident, the prosecution and execution of families, he retracts his operation out of fear for the children.
Abdel Hadi screams after he is flogged and prosecuted in Denshawai. As demonstrations overrun the country, Jewish priests gather, trying to devise a plan to steal the Protocols of the Elders of Zion from Margaret's house.
Hafez finds the book of Protocols at Margaret's house. Mitchell asks Officer Adli to find and capture El Tha'lab (the Fox). The Jews plan to establish a national home in Palestine. Margaret confesses her love to Hafez.
As Hafez prepares for a self-sacrifice operation, he disguises himself as Major Higgins and enters an English camp, as his men lay mines there, while Colonel Richard comes from England to try to capture El Tha'lab and the guerrillas.
Margaret vows to protect Hafez from his pursuers. Ghassan is arrested and Hafez contemplates helping him escape. The Jews ask Hafez to steal a book from Margaret's house.
Hafez is looking for an honest person to translate the book because it is in Russian. Hafez enters his grandfather's palace disguised as the sculptor Luciano, and offers Sanmar Bey to buy the palace.
Disguised as Farhat, Hafez meets his old friend Elias Tannous, whom he asks for his girlfriend Natasha's help to translate the book. Margaret discovers the theft of the book.
Farhat meets Countess Sigris, who runs away with him to escape from her late husband's brother who's chasing after her because he covets the fortune. Margaret tells Yacoub and Benjamin that Hafez stole the book and deceived them. Farhat asks Sigris to translate the book of Protocols.
Hafez goes to prison disguised as Roberto the prison warden and facilitates the smuggling of Ghassan. Hafez asks Nada to return to Palestine after her brother's escape. Richard investigates Roberto after Ghassan's escape.
As Sigris sympathizes with the peasants after Sanmar drives them off their land, she begins translating the book of Protocols. Richard continues to search for El Tha'lab. Hafez disguises himself as a lawyer and meets his cousin Ahdab at the palace.
Sanmar tries to attack Hafez after his character is revealed and they duel with the sword. Youssef decides to catch up with Nada in Palestine. Hafez discovers that the Zionists plan to conquer the world economically, while Sigris continues translating the book's papers.
Saad's wife dies and advises him to marry Zanabiq. As Elias' health condition deteriorates, he asks Hafez to visit his family in the Levant to give them his fortune and that his real name is Bishara. Jawed Pasha seeks to marry Ahdab with the help of Sanmar.
Hafez and his men steal and burn the goods destined for the English camp. Jawed Pasha's gifts are rejected by Hafez, who travels to the Levant to meet Bishara's family.
Hafez withdraws Bishara's fortune from the bank, disguising himself in his identity. But as Sigris appears by chance and calls him Elias, the bank manager doubts his identity. Antoine tries to kill Bishara, who caused the loss of his leg years ago.
Richard learns about Hafez's lineage to the Sanmar family and suspects he has a relationship with El Tha'lab. Bishara signs to receiveing the money from the bank. Antoine pardons Bishara. Hafez reveals to Marianne and Elena about Bishara's death in Egypt.
Hafez returns from the Levant and learns about Richard's search for him. The Zionists are trying to establish schools in the governorates to spread the Zionist ideology. Sheikh Hamed discovers that Hafez, his nephew, is El Tha'lab and that he is a patriot and not an immoral person, as he thinks.
Richard gets angry that the newspapers report that he has been assaulted in the ladies' bathroom. Farhat asks Sigris to complete the book of Protocols. Richard accuses Camelia of helping El Tha'lab
Sigris plans to report Yacoub and Benjamin for trying to smuggle antiquities. The guerrillas move to free the prisoners from the prisons of the English. Officer Adli learns that Hafez is El Tha'lab and decides to cooperate with him.
Camelia is tortured in the prison to disclose her relationship with El Tha'lab. Sanmar tries to lay his hand on Sigris' land. Ahdab asks Hafez for the jewelry that she gave him. Hafez forces Sanmar to sign documents in his favour and his lineage to the family.
Sanmar reports Hafez to the police. Richard asks Hafez not to publish what Hafez did to Sanmar. The Jews ask Smith to put Jewish relics in pharaonic tombs. After the police arrest Yacoub and Benjamin, Antar informs the police about Hafez's whereabouts.
Hafez comes face-to-face with the police, who break into Smith's room, and manages to escape. Camelia is released from detention and tells Hafez that she was raped while being unconscious after torturing her. Jawed promises Ahdab to bring her son Shehab on the condition that she marry him.
Margaret asks Antar for new information about Hafez. Jawed Pasha promises Sanmar to grant him the rank of Pasha on the condition that he marry Ahdab. Camelia asks to return to work with Margaret because she suspects that Edward has raped her. Hafez devises a plan to dispel Richard's suspicion of Farhat.
Saad gets shot in the shoulder during a self-sacrifice operation. Camelia tries to find her rapist. Angry Sigris returns the gift to Sanmar and tells him that the jewelry is fake. Richard attacks Sheikh Hamed's house in search of Hafez.
As Hafez attends a party in Sanmar's palace disguised as a Tunisian journalist named Abdelkader, the mask reveals his face, after which the police and Richard storm the palace and arrest him after the electricity is cut off and then gets back.
After the arrest of Hafez, the police discover that he is just a deaf-mute young man in disguise. The Jews are angered by the continued disappearance of the book. Sigris discovers that Hafez is also the French merchant Bonvey.
Hafez reveals to Sigris how he deceived the police. Ahdab agrees to marry Jawed in order to live with her son Shehab. Camelia grows suspicious of Edward.
As Youssef attacks Edward's palace with Camelia's help, Edward confesses that he raped her. Sanmar revolts after Hafez insults him in front of Sigris. Youssef escapes with a gunshot wound while Camelia dies after Margaret shoots them.
Richard tells Farhat that he has devised a new plan to trap Hafez. Jawed marries Ahdab. As Edward shoots Hafez, Margaret rushes to receive the bullet and sacrifice herself for him
After Sanmar kills Segris' mare and escapes, Hafez decides to take revenge on him. As the Jews begin their plan to divide Palestine, establish a Jewish battalion in it and spread Zionism, Hafez asks Officer Adli to stand up to them.
As Sanmar steals the horses of Sigris' farm, Hafez attacks him and Sigris saves the horses from the fire. After Richard questions Edward in the rape of Camelia and the murder of Margaret, Edward commits suicide after John indicts him. Sanmar dies with the same arrow with which Naguib was killed.
Nada returns from Palestine and tells Hafez about the Zionist attack, much to Sigris' jealousy over Hafez. After Eliyahu watches Hafez and learns that he is Farhat, the Jews shoot Farhat while he is sitting with Richard at the bar.
Richard lets Hafez escape after saving his life, and realizes that the Zionists are the ones who shot him. After Hafez sends Richard translated papers from the book of Protocols, he plans to move toward Palestine.
After Hafez dies during his disguise as Duqduq, Richard reveals his mask and Hafez is buried. Sigris collapses, but Hafez wakes up in the grave after the effect of the drug wears off and disguises himself as Bishara. Fedfada dies in grief over Hafez's death.
Sigris is shocked that Hafez is alive. Balfour Declaration is issued to establish a national home for the Jews in Palestine. Richard leaves Egypt. The Zionists kill Sigris and blow up the meeting place of the guerrillas. Hafez refuses to blow up the Zionists' house due to the presence of innocent kids.
