After his brother and friend drowned on a fishing trip, Mahrous refuses to give the inheritance to Soukra, his niece and her mother. After Soukra refuses to get married, her uncles steals from her what proves her right. Years later, Soukra flees to Cairo. Youssef works as an electricity collector.

Soukra lives in Zakiya's house and refuses to go back to the village. Kawthar asks Youssef to focus on his future and stay away from Soukra. Soukra works as a maid and teaches the children of the family she works for. Youssef seeks to work in the press, but he faces difficulties.

Youssef works in a press office. As Soukra warns Mahrous because of his assault on her mother, she prepares for the exam from home, but the woman whom she works for kicks her out. Youssef works in the art department and goes to filming studios.

As Soukra leaves work late, three men try to rape her, but she runs away from them and goes to the house of Kawthar and Youssef. The journalist Hossam asks Youssef to write spicy topics about celebrities. Youssef publishes an article in another paper.

Hossam warns Youssef about Khalil. As Soukra returns to the village and faces harassment from her uncle, she refuses to have her sister Afaf work as a maid. Hossam spreads news that Khalil takes Youssef's articles and writes his name on them. Mahrous causes a rift between the fishermen and Youssef.

As Soukra stabs Mahrous with a knife and returns to Cairo, Kawthar asks her to leave Youssef to focus on his career and his future because of her strong love for her brother. Youssef meets the editor-in-chief, who assigns him to train in the accident department.

Soukra starts her work with Nazmi Bey. Youssef is kidnapped and threatened because of a press report, and then he is officially hired in the paper. Soukra leaves the job because of the mistreatment of her employer, and the maid Mona frames her for a robbery that she has committed.

Actor Hany is angry with Youssef because of an article published by Hossam in the name of Youssef. Soukra is arrested after Nazmi accuses her of robbing his house. Hany asks Youssef to make a press interview with him. The prosecutor discovers that Mona was the one who framed Soukra for the robbery.

Soukra and Zakiya are released from prison after their innocence is proved. Soukra is harassed again by Mahrous. Youssef tries to apologize to Soukra after he denied knowing her in the police station. Youssef and Soukra get married, in spite of Zakiya and Kawthar's disapproval.

Ramadan's mother tries to calm Kawthar down and convince her of the marriage of Youssef and Soukra. Youssef asks Soukra to keep their marriage a secret, and she refuses. Soukra focuses on her studies. Khalil decides to hire Youssef in in the art department in his paper and asks him to attack artists.

As Soukra remembers Zakiya's warnings to her from Youssef, he convinces her to wait until she completes her studies to announce their marriage, but Soukra leaves the house and returns to Zakia. The editor-in-chief asks Youssef to leave Khalil's newspaper. Soukra works as a maid for Paula.

As the editor-in-chief retires, the clashes between Youssef and Khalil intensify. As Soukra suffers from the behavior of Mrs. Paula, she watches the prosecutor at the university while he is preparing for his master's degree. Youssef works in a new paper with Rabea Kassem.

Karim tries to deceive his cousin Paula to get her money. The relationship between Wasim and Kawthar grows stronger after the death of his wife, and they get engaged. Donia's relationship with Youssef develops. Karim praises Soukra and her struggle at college and work.

Soukra stabs a thief who tried to steal Paula, who thanks Soukra for saving her from murder and theft. Youssef seeks to buy a car. Khalil tries to lure Donia to work with him, but she refuses. Kawthar and Wasim's wedding takes place.

Youssef tells Soukra that Donia is just a work colleague. The investigation into the theft of Paula's apartment is closed. Rabea asks Youssef to conduct weekly investigations in exchange for an increase in his salary. While Soukra is looking for her sister, she clashes with Mahrous.

Soukra plants drugs for Mahrous and reports him. Nazmi is arrested for gambling. As journalist Amin Aref asks Youssef to be editor-in-chief of a new paper, Rabea asks him to refuse to work with Amin. Ahmed gets angry at Soukra for reporting his father to the police.

Ahmed stumbles upon a savings book for his father with a large sum. Amin explains to Khalil that choosing Youssef as the editor-in-chief represents a new direction. Paula meets her old sweetheart Shukri, who asks her to marry him. Paula places a deposit in the name of Soukra in the bank before she dies.

Paula's relatives attack Soukra because of the deposit and torture her. Youssef begins work in the new newspaper and calls it "The Facts". Zakiya gives the deposit paper to Youssef, who rushes to Paula's house to search for Soukra and finds her in a critical condition.

Paula's relatives, except for the fugitive Karim, are arrested on charges of torturing Soukra. Youssef launches a press campaign against Paula's relatives. Soukra comes out of the coma and tells Youssef what happened to her. Karim offers a reward to Soukra for not implicating him in the case.

Zakiya tries to persuade Soukra to drop the charges for a large sum. Barquqa offers Ramadan to work with him, and his mother refuses. Soukra asks Shukri to distribute Paula’s money to the poor and gives him the key to her safe. Soukra thinks of accepting the offer, but she backs down.

As Youssef is looking for Soukra to marry her, he gets angry after learning that she intends to give up the case. Youssef leaves his old apartment and Zuzu bids him farewell. The relationship between Youssef and Soukra collapses. Khalil launches a defamation campaign against Youssef.

Youssef is pressured into taking an unpaid leave. Soukra goes to a beauty center to have a makeover and buys clothes for her and her sisters. Amin asks Youssef to accept Muhannad to work in the paper. Donia's ex-fiancé tries to assault her and Youssef.

Shukri provides a job opportunity for Soukra in a hair salon to learn and help her buy a place to run herself. Khalil launches a campaign against actress Alia to increase the sales of his paper. Soukra tries to sell the house to have her big project and Mahrous agrees.

Youssef is sad after seeing Soukra with Hazem. Soukra tells Kawthar she loves Youssef. Zuzu's father tries to find her after she ran away. Kawthar gives birth to twins. Soukra opens a beauty center and holds a celebration attended by Youssef; she changes her name to Sandra and strengthens her relationship with Hazem.

Mahrous gets out of prison and asks Ahmed to get money from Soukra. Youssef writes about climate change and his prediction that entire countries will disappear. Youssef rebuffs Soukra who is trying to get back to him. Khalil drives a wedge between Donia and Youssef.

Abdel Rahman publishes information about climate change to compete with Youssef, who decides to marry Soukra again. Mahrous asks to marry Zakiya. Soukra agrees to marry Hazem and tells Youssef, who gets angry at her.

As Khalil ignites the dispute between Amin and Youssef, he thinks of using Soukra's relationship with Hazem to distract Youssef and take advantage of Donia against Youssef. Hossam offers Donia an acting job, and she submits her resignation to Youssef. Hossam offers Khalil a partnership on a paper.

As Soukra marries Hazem, Youssef collapses, while she lives in a state of confusion. Youssef seeks to return Zuzu to the neighborhood and wed her to Ramadan. Youssef obtains information condemning the tourism company owned by Hazem. Youssef and Donia are engaged.

After Ramadan gets engaged to Zuzu, he confronts her brother Barquqa who tried to assault her and he marries her in a big party and calms her father down. Soukra grieves after Youssef and Donia's marriage. Hazem gets angry because of the attack by Youssef’s paper on his company and he is arrested.

Soukra confronts Youssef with what he published about Hazem and tells him that her husband is innocent. As Youssef decides to search for evidence of Hazem's innocence, he discovers that he has tarnished the reputation of an innocent person named Mahmoud Anis and decides to correct all his mistakes.

Youssef tells Amin that the paper's attack on Mahmoud Anis was unjust. As Hazem is released from prison after his innocence was proven, he blames Soukra for resorting to Youssef. Khalil threatens to attack Soukra, while Youssef rejects the threats of Mahmoud Anis's enemies.

Ahmed rejects what his father Mahrous is doing about deporting young people illegally. As Youssef keeps pace with those who bargain with him, he reports them. Amin dismisses Youssef as the editor-in-chief. As Hazem is traveling on a business trip abroad, Soukra gets a divorce from him.

As Youssef divorces Donia, he feels that he is in danger and tells Kawthar. A vice case is fabricated for the girls in Soukra's hair salon. Youssef marries Soukra and takes over as editor-in-chief of a new paper. As Youssef suddenly disappears, Soukra presents papers implicating various people.
