As Rohaim deteriorates, his children keep vigil by his bedside. Rohaim asks Wagih to take care of his siblings. Hasanat tells Rohaim that she never got over him.
Rohaim's mother refuses to move in with him due to his continued insistence to withhold his siblings' inheritance. Fatma refuses to forgive Rohaim,as she blames him for her children travelling abroad to look for work. Sami asks for Shimaa's hand.

Fatma is upset when she finds out about Hanaa's divorce. Sami refuses to return to his father's house. He believes that since his father withheld his siblings' inheritance then it means that his money is ill-gotten.
Wagih breaks up with his girlfriend after Hanaa's return. Sami is imprisoned for charges relating to national security. His uncle, El-Menshawy, resigns from his job as a judge to take on Sami's as a lawyer.
Bahgat is transferred in the aftermath of Sami's case, just as Alaa leaves Amal over the same case. Hanaa wants to work in Wagih's company.
Sami is proven innocent and gets engaged to Shimaa. Rohaim decides to finally give his siblings their inheritance.
When Wagih dodges his father's attempt to talk about giving his uncles' money back, Rohaim suspects that Wagih opposes his decision. Wagih, who has legal control of the entire fortune, refuses to give the money back.
Bahgat points his gun at his brother when he witnesses a fight between Rohaim and Wagih. Rohaim breaks down when Wagih refuses to abide by his decision.
Omran's grandchildren meet up with El-Menshawy and ask him to sue Wagih to get their inheritance back. When Wagih is killed, various family members are arrested, including his two brothers. It's too much for Rohaim and he dies.
