Lamia, decides to leave her fiancé Sarhan, the taxi driver, because of his tough financial situation and be with Ramzi, a rich man, but Amer, her brother, rejects him.

Lamia agrees with her mother to leave Sarhan and to agree to Ramzi's marriage proposal. Ramzi's son meets Lamia in college and asks her to stay away from his father, but she refuses and insists on marrying him.

Sarhan works in transporting goods from Abdul Rahman's factory in his car. Naglaa berates Lamia for leaving Sarhan and being behind him leaving the house.

Jamil asks the band to sing this time, while Lamia tells Ramzi's wife that she married him, and Sarhan tries to improve his financial situation.

Jamil sings at a concert, and the audience admires his voice. Abdul Rahman refuses that his daughter marry Jalil, Siddiq's son, who tries to harass her, and she repels him.

Abu Lamei asks Jamil to cooperate with Tamara. As Sarhan discovers that Jalil is involved in smuggling, he asks for Ghanyia's hand in marriage, and convinces Abdul Rahman to obtain an import license.

Sarhan reports Siddiq and his son during a smuggling operation, and Jalil is imprisoned. Jamil rejects Tamara's proposal to work with her.

Jamil enters into a sham marriage with Madeleine in return for her giving him a large amount of money. Ramzi discovers that Lamia is taking birth control pills, much to his anger, and he quarrels with her.

The relationship between Jamila and Adel strengthens, but she later discovers that he is in a relationship with an elderly woman named Maeda. Jamil reconciles with Madeleine and decides to collaborate with her artistically.

Adel is accused of killing Maeda after she was found murdered in her apartment, and when Jamila learns about it, she gets very sad.

Jamila informs the officer that Adel was with her at the time of Maeda's murder. Abdul Rahman's children demand from Sarhan their share in the factory that he developed.

When Sarhan meets Lamia while she is going with her husband to a party he is holding in Baghdad, she pretends not to know him, while Adel marries Jamila.

Sarhan meets his brother Jamil at the party and pretends not to know him because he married a dancer. Jamil's mother goes to visit him at his house and reproaches him for marrying Madeleine.

Sarhan's father dies amidst the grief of all his children. After Sarhan falls ill and is admitted to the hospital, Lamia visits him to check on him.

Ramzi divorces Lamia and returns to his first wife, while Sarhan marries Lamia for one day and divorces her, then dies while driving his car of a heart attack.
