The war takes place in Lebanon in 1982. The diplomat Faisal loses his son Osama and continues to search for him in vain. His daughter Jumana loses her sight, and Abdul Latif divorces his foreign wife, Julia, and returns to Kuwait. The years pass until 2006.
Faris confesses to killing Walid, and American officer Sylvia interrogates journalist Abdullah and accuses him of colluding with terrorist groups in Iraq.
Faisal asks his son Sami to return to Kuwait for fear of war. Prisoner Iman worries about her son Faris and asks the prison officer to meet him. Faris presents his crime to the police officer.
Abdul Latif remembers the cause of his wife's death, after her son Abdullah accused her of infidelity. Faisal suffers a heart attack and is taken to the hospital because he is worried about his son Sami.
Faisal suffers from kidney failure. Imad quarrels with his wife because his brother Anas is flirting with her and suspects her of cheating. Sami is trying to find a way to return to Kuwait after Samar stole his passport and money, and Abdullah meets the journalist Haya.
Faisal's medical condition worsens, and Abdullah tries to save the American officer, Sylvia, despite her torture of him.
Abdullah agrees with one of the people to smuggle him out of Iraq. Sami discovers that his passport is forged and his car explodes. Sami’s mother decides to donate her kidney to Faisal.
Faris tells the investigator that he killed Walid because he caused his mother, Iman, to go to prison after implicating her in a check with no balance. It becomes clear that Faris tried to rob Abdullah’s mother, and when she decided to help him, Abdullah suspected that there was a relationship between them.
Sami keeps looking for a way out of Beirut. American forces search for Abdullah, and Ibrahim's wife insists on a divorce because he doubts her all the time.
Abu Ibrahim quarrels with his son Anas for imprisoning his brother, Ibrahim. Abdul Latif decides to travel to Iraq to search for his son after he suffers from hallucinations. Sami remains in Lebanese territory, fleeing from the Israeli forces.
Anas accuses his father of assaulting him by beating him, and he is taken to the hospital. An Iraqi gang demands a ransom from Abdul Latif in order to let his son Abdullah leave.
Abdul Latif travels to Iraq to rescue his son Abdullah. Israeli forces search for Sami. Ibrahim tries to reconcile matters between him and his wife.
A group of Lebanese helps Sami escape, and his mother decides to travel to search for him in Beirut. The police prevent Abdul Latif from paying the ransom for his son, and Abdullah escapes after American forces raid the den in which he was kept.
Iman comes out of prison and searches for Faris. She discovers his involvement in the murder of Walid, and Faisal prevents his wife from traveling to Beirut.
Sami's mother blames Faisal for not looking for their son. At the same time, the police inform Abdul Latif that his son Abdullah is in Kuwait.
Iman turns to Abdul Latif to help her with her problem, and Abdullah tries to tell his story to one of the Kuwaitis to help him reach his family.
Sami tries to get out from under the rubble of a house that was demolished. Demonstrations against the Israelis flare up. Faisal thinks about getting married again so he can have children and meet his secretary Noura after she gets out of prison.
Julia arrives in Kuwait to meet Abdul Latif, and the latter tries to meet his son to no avail. At the same time, Noura visits Iman and stays at her home until she manages her affairs after her release from prison.
Faisal proposes marriage to Noura, while Abdul Latif meets with journalist Sarah, who informs him of her meeting with Abdullah in Iraq.
Anas tries to persuade his brother Tamim to sign a professional contract abroad. Julia tells Abdul Latif that Sarah is his daughter. Abdullah returns home. Sami’s mother decides to leave the house after Faisal’s decision to marry Noura. Saeed refuses Sami’s presence in their house.
The Israeli forces kill Saeed and his wife, and Farid saves Sami. Anas decides to escape with the money he stole from his uncle Faisal. Abdullah tells his father, Abdul Latif, that he did not see his mother cheating on him, but he thought so because there was someone in her room.
Abdullah meets Sarah, and Julia rejects their closeness. Abdul Latif agrees to defend Faris and discovers that he is the person whom Abdullah accused of having a relationship with his mother.
Sami's mother insists on filing for divorce after Faisal and Noura's marriage. Meanwhile, Sami continues to accompany Farid after the Israeli forces search for them.
Abdul Latif tells his children that Sarah is their sister from his foreign wife. Anas causes a quarrel between Ibrahim and his wife again and makes him doubt her behavior.
Sami's mother is upset about Faisal taking his new wife, Noura, to her home, and Faris asks Abdul Latif to help him get married to complete his father's will.
Iman blames Noura for marrying Faisal and destroying Sami's mother's house, and Sayed reveals to the Israeli officer Osama's collusion with Sami.
Ibrahim's wife insists on a divorce, and Anas asks his mother to propose to Manar to marry her.
The Israeli officer asks Sayed to arrest Sami alive so that he can transfer his heart to his son. Sami discovers that Osama is his brother, whom his father lost in the war. The police arrest Anas for stealing Faisal’s money.
Sami's mother files a complaint against Faisal, demanding that he return the kidney she donated to him. Jumana agrees to marry Faris, and Osama dies.
Faisal refuses to divorce Sami's mother and decides to travel to get Sami back and return. Sarah tells her father, Abdul Latif, of her desire to travel to Palestine.
