Abu Saleh is in a temper following the appraisal committee's decision and he refuses to sell his house. He quarrels with his neighbor Hassan for leaving his motorcycle in the middle of the street. Meanwhile, Sa'ad tells his mother that he wants to wed their neighbor Abu Saleh's daughter.
When the appraisal committee takes the measures of Hussein's house, the latter tries to bribe the employee. As he goes late to work, Hussein's manager refuses to grant him delay permission.
Hussein gets the paper for the appraisal of the house after he manages to convince the committee to raise the price they offered. Meanwhile, Abu Sanad quarrels with the committee for reducing the price of his house.
As Hussein gets the money for selling his house, he and his brother Sa'ad consider investing the money in a project. Hussein is fired from work. Abu Saleh accepts to wed Sa'ad to Saleha, stipulating that he marries Hussein's mother. Hussein's mother believes that her sons inherited a huge fortune.
Sa'ad and his mother try to get Hussein to apologize to his uncle. Hussein starts a shoe-selling project, and Sa'ad demands to either get his share or be the project owner. Sa'ad and Hussein visit Abu Saleh to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage.
Hussein's uncle advises his sister to distribute the inheritance between her and her son. Hussein's project is a failure, and he asks Amany to steal a file he needs from her father's office.
Hussein changes his business into selling dry food for dogs. But when no one buys those as well, he retags the cans and sells them out as human food, only for people to have rabies. An arrest warrant is issued to have Hussein caught.
Hussein is whipped and then released. As he quarrels with his uncle and Abu Saleh and attacks them, they're all imprisoned, tried, and judged to pay a compensation.
Without any knowledge required for practicing the profession, Hussein starts working as a lawyer and asks his brother to run the office while he is away.
As Hussein returns from his travel, the news of his mother's marriage to Sa'ad causes him a severe shock and he is admitted into a mental hospital. The doctor advises Hussein to travel to Egypt for a change of mood.
Hussein travels to Egypt, and his uncle, Sa'ad, and Abu Saleh all tag along. Hussein's uncle develops a crush on their Egyptian maid, and the three men ask Hussein to go for a walk around the city.
When Hussein crosses paths with Fou'ad Bey, he suggests for him to build a sulfur plant in Kuwait. Hussein's uncle marries the maid and takes her back to Kuwait where he divorces her. A fire breaks out in the plant.
As Hussein loses all his money, he goes back to his life of poverty and leaves the house. He, Sa'ad, and Fou'ad start working for Hussein's uncle as cobblers.
