A rich young man marries a poor girl without his family's knowledge. When his family finds out, they force him to abandon her and steal the marriage contract from her while the girl is pregnant. Her father fears the scandal and travels with her out of town until she gives birth, claiming that the newborn is his son. Her son grows up thinking that she is his older sister. At university, he meets his father's sister, without knowing it, and they both fall in love.
