Abu Dulama's mother-in-law rebukes her daughter for leaving 5 dinars with her husband Abu Dulama. Al-Mansur imprisons a poet after he knew that he took thousands of dinars from his brother in exchange for praising him. Abu El Ataa goes to praise al-Mansur for money. Al-Mansur waits for Abu Dulama.

2nd Episode

When Abu El Ataa, Jaafar and Abu Zaid go to a lunch feast at Abu Dulama's, Abu El Ataa tells them that al-Mansur expelled him for praising the Umayyads. After Abu Dulama gets paid for praising Abu El Fadl, the former asks for his friends' help to trick his mother-in-law into thinking that she killed him.

Umm Dulama quarrels with her husband for what he and his friends did to her mother. Abu Dulama praises al-Mansur in a poem. As al-Mansur decides not to give him money, Abu Dulama asks for a hunting dog. He later returns with it, telling al-Mansur about his hunting trip until al-Mansur got bored.

As Abu Dulama tells al-Mansur he fell off his donkey while hunting, and that the rabbit ran because the dog came to save him, he manages to make al-Mansur order a horse for him. Abu Dulama's mother-in-law devises a fraud scheme for Dulama to buy a goat from the merchant in order to make up with her daughter.

Umm Dulama says the merchant gave them the goat in exchange for returning a gift worth 50 dirhams. After Abu Dulama, his son and friends eat the goat, the merchant asks for his right; Abu Dulama says that 50 dirhams isn't a fair price. Finally, he agrees to return the goat, and gives him the bones and skin.

Abu Dulama’s plan succeeds and he doesn't pay the money to the merchant. He goes to the judge to complain and Abu Dulama’s mother-in-law goes to testify to his words, but he accuses her of deceiving him into buying the goat. The judge summons Abu Dulama to interrogate him, but Dulama says his father has died.

People gather in front of Abu Dulama’s house. As al-Mansur orders a thousand dinars for him, Abu Dulama convinces him to take the money in exchange for holding a funeral for him. Abu Dulama goes to El Abbas’s wife, who asks him to recite his poem in lamentation for her husband and gives him 100000 dirhams.

Abu Dulama says that El Abbas’s wife kicked him out after his disdainful joke, after which she sends 10 thousand dirhams to Abu Dulama’s house, so his mother-in-law’s advises her daughter not to tell Abu Dulama, who convinces al-Mansur to bring him a boy to take care of the horse.

As Dulama threatens Masoud with his deal with his mother and grandmother, he takes 50 dirhams from him. Masoud tells Abu Dulama about the agreement of his mother-in-law and his wife with him to sell the horse. Abu Dulama defends a poet before al-Mansur, so he believes him.

Abu Dulama lays plans for Abu Salem to be the judge in front of Abu Amr, then he tells Abu Amr that the horse is sick, so he decides to leave the horse and the money. Abu Dulama agrees to sell his donkey to Jaafar.

Umm Dulama and her mother explain the plan to him to assume Abu Dulama's identity in front of the merchant to sell him the horse. Abu Dulama divulges his mother-in-law’s plan and asks Qatal to help him teach them a lesson.

Al-Mansur orders a house for Abu Dulama and makes the executioner leave him. Qatal buys the horse from Umm Dulama for 60 dinars. Abu El Amrout assumes the identity of Abu Dulama, then flees when El Muhtasib, who's in fact a masked Abu Dulama, comes. Qatal agrees to return the horse for 200 dinars.

El Abbas’s wife tells Abu Dulama she'll buy him a maid to marry. As al-Mansur sends his guards to ask Abu Dulama what he said to al-Khurasani, Abu Dulama mocks them, so they return and tell al-Mansur that he's dead, whereupon al-Mansur orders his imprisonment, but they arrest Abu El Ataa by mistake.

When Dulama lies to his father about receiving ten lashes from the jinn, Abu Dulama asks his wife to make a talisman for their son. Al-Mansur and Abu Ayyub discover that Abu Dulama did not go to prison. Al-Mansur assigns Abu Muslim to go to the Levant and eliminate Abdallah ibn Ali.

But Qatal intervenes and saves him, according to Abu Dulama's plan. Abu El Amrout learns from other beggars that they were with El Muhtasib.

Abu Dulama's mother-in-law decides to wed Masoud to the maidservant Amat Allah.

As al-Mansur laughs at Abu Dulama's finding a way to ask him for a gift without being killed, he orders an estate for Umm Dulama and orders him to go to war with the Kharijites. Abu El Amrout blackmails Abu Dulama and takes 10 dirhams from him so as not to satirize him. Al-Mansur sends a message to al-Khurasani.

Abu Dulama writes a poem for Abu Amr which makes people laugh at him in the market. Al-Mansur meets with the minister and the chamberlain to read al-Khurasani's answer to his letter.

As al-Mansur implements a plan feigning that he doesn't care about the armies to set al-Khurasani up, he orders Awf ibn Hatim that Abu Dulama joins his army. Abu Dulama's mother-in-law reconciles Abu El Amrout with Dulama because she needs them in selling the house and the estate.

Abu El Amrout tells Abu Dulama’s mother-in-law and Umm Dulama that Masoud revealed their plan, so she ties him up, but Dulama discovers that he escaped and took the horse with him.

As Masoud tells Abu Dulama of his mother-in-law's plan, Abu Dulama shows up and Abu El Amrout flees. He sells the palace and the estate to Abu Yahya. Al-Mansur orders 10 thousand dirhams for him for making him laugh. His wife and mother-in-law intercedes with Umm Salma to make al-Mansur bring him back from war.
