As Suhaila suffers from obstructed labor, she’s taken to the hospital by her husband Yassin, who borrows money from Madam Hala to pay the hospital bill. The doctor tells Suhaila that she will not be able to give birth again without surgical intervention.

Madam Hala becomes depressed, so her husband decides to take her to the estate where he was born, telling her that she will spend happy and wonderful days there. Suhaila tells her husband that she has a problem with her upcoming childbirth.

Asaad sells his land to Madam Hala, which infuriates Yassin’s father, who tells Asaad off. Hala starts construction work on the land she bought from Asaad.

Yassin’s father gets angry at his son and his wife Suhaila, after he heard them talking about birth problems and what the doctor told her after she gave birth to Selim, and quarrels with them. Madam Hala sees baby Selim for the first time and saves him from a tragic accident.

Madam Hala becomes attached to baby Selim, whom she can't stop thinking about, then goes to see him, holds him tight and asks his father to bring the child to her on a daily basis, especially since she's unable to have children with her husband.

Madam Hala goes to talk to Suhaila, Selim's mother, who suspects that her husband's having an affair with her. Hala tells Suhaila that she is barren and won’t be able to have children, and tells her that she grew fond of her child Selim.

Abu Jaber agrees with Asaad to leave Kawkab in exchange for money, as the former wants to marry her. As Madam Hala learns that Suhaila can’t have children again, she takes her to the doctor and tells her that she will pay for her operation.

Madam Hala takes Suhaila to the hospital to have an operation so she can have children again. Suhaila's operation is successful, and after a while, the doctor tells her that she is pregnant.

Yassin’s father learns that his grandson Selim is staying at Madam Hala’s, which enrages him, and as he goes to her house to quarrel with her, Yassin comes to clear the air.

Madam Hala tells Suhaila that she wants to keep her son Selim, offering to do her many favors in return, which alarms Suhaila.

The village chief goes with Yassin and his wife to the house of Madam Hala to mediate between the two parties, as Hala asked Yassin to either pay her her money back or leave her his son Selim.

As Selim gets bitten by a snake, his mother cries out for help, whereupon a panic-stricken Hala rushes him to the hospital to save him.

Madam Hala saves the child Selim for the third time from a possible tragedy, telling his mother that fate has sent him her way to save him for the third time. Hala hatches a plan to kidnap Selim with Asaad’s help.

Madam Hala forges baby Selim's papers, registering him in her name in an official certificate, then sends Asaad to kidnap him, and as his mother arrives with the police, the officer gets confused as to which of them is the child's real mother.

Asaad tries to sneak out the wet nurse, but he fails, whereupon the officer interrogates her, and she confesses to them that Selim is the son of Yassin and Suhaila, which the doctor corroborates. As Madam Hala tries to escape with Selim, his grandfather stops her and shoots her.
