Gaber is preparing to return to his village, unaware of the recent changes that have occurred there and of its people leaving fishing after an oil company opened a headquarters there and most of its people emigrated.

Gaber arrives in the village and meets his beloved Nabila after many years. He discovers that his brother, the teacher Shehab, has proposed marriage to her. He is shocked when he learns of his father's death.

Gaber shocks Nabila when she learns that he returned empty-handed. He decides to look for work in the oil company in the city, with the help of the driver Ahmed.

A fire breaks out in an oil well, and the foreman asks the driver Saeed to transport a dangerous shipment of explosive materials. Gaber confronts Shehab about his desire to marry Nabila, so Shehab tries to prevent him from traveling again and offers to compensate him financially.

The oil company announces its need for drivers, and many residents apply without knowing the danger of the work. Tohamy threatens the manager Raafat with revealing the danger of the load if he does not hire him at the company.

As Gaber takes his mother and uncle to ask for Nabila's hand in marriage, he agrees to transport the load of explosive materials, while his uncle tries to prevent him from doing so.

Nabila tries to convince Gaber not to drive the explosives shipment, while Shehab proposes to him that he marry Nabila before he travels. After the driver Osama is late for the departure time, the shift chief decides to let Tohamy take over the task.

The explosives cars drive off, led by the driver Ahmed, and Tohamy decides to drive the second car with Gaber. Their car breaks down, and Raafat suspects Tohamy's involvement in the disappearance of the company’s driver, Abbas.

Gaber forces Tohamy to repair the car and they continue on their way. Gaber's uncle asks the leader of some village on the road for help to prevent Gaber from passing, but the latter succeeds in deceiving the people and continues his journey.

Sweilem impounds the company's cars on the road and refuses their passing through the town's road. He is surprised by the driver Zaki driving the car despite the danger of it. Gaber overpowers him, frees his uncle, and leaves with Tohamy.

Gaber is worried about the overheating of the transport vehicle carrying the dangerous shipment. He loses his way and searches for Tohamy. Raafat is afraid that the shipment will not arrive and will face danger.

A new shipment of explosive materials comes out on its way to be delivered to the company. Nabila gets into the car, hoping to meet Gaber on the road. The latter arrives at the well area and extinguishes the fire. Gaber and Nabila get married.
