Helmy returns from Europe, visits Abu Walid, and asks about Amira's family. Amira asks her brother Diaa to travel, fearing that Helmy will find where she is, but Diaa, Maher, and Ahmed reject the idea of traveling.
Ahmed causes Helmy to enter the detention prison for interrogation, and Diaa's wife gets angry because she cannot enter the house because his two brothers are with him.
Marwa grieves for her inability to save the life of a child who was killed by an explosive device. Maher participates in financing ISIS and providing them with weapons to fight the occupying Americans. Diaa meets Helmy and threatens him to leave Iraq.
The Egyptian ambassador is kidnapped simultaneously with the kidnapping of Helmy by three delinquents, and Marwa receives a death threat from ISIS.
Marwa learns from Mansour that her uncle Diaa has married Najwa in secret because of her Christian religion. The police rescue Helmy from the gang and arrest them while he travels to Egypt, where his family welcomes him.
Helmy takes his sister Souad out of the hospital. Amira travels with her daughter and Majid to Syria and rents an apartment there, while Majid lives with his brother Faez.
Mr. Azzam visits his daughter, Rania, and Officer Karim interrogates Maher and charges him with financing and arming ISIS.
Officer Karim investigates Maher's case, which reveals the presence of a person named Abu Jamal, a foreign terrorist who came to Iraq for jihad. Mr. Azzam approaches Amira by gifting her a set of books.
Amira has a nervous breakdown when she learns about her two brothers. Helmy takes his sister, Souad, from the hospital, and she is glad to be back home.
Diaa leaves the police station after the American officer released him, so he travels to Syria. Majid tells Diaa that he is the one who put the threatening letter in the hospital for Marwa in agreement with her mother to force her to travel.
Marwa gets married to Majid at the insistence of her uncle Diaa. The relationship between Helmy and the sketch artist who drew an approximate picture of his daughter is deepening, but he suffers from liver cancer and the doctor tells him that he must speed up chemotherapy.
As Majid and Faez get drunk, Marwa resents Majid while he is intoxicated. Mr. Azzam gets sick and Amira visits him at his house, which gladdens him immensely. Helmy wishes to see his daughter before he begins his cancer treatment.
Diaa returns to Iraq to be questioned about his relationship with Helmy and Youssef the terrorist after the assassination of the Egyptian ambassador. Helmy appears in a TV interview in which he tells the story of his search for his daughter, and Mr. Azzam watches the program and tells his daughter.
As Diaa gets tortured in prison, Officer Karim grieves for his condition. Amira learns about Helmy's television interview on the Moroccan channel, and she tells Majid the truth.
Diaa is smuggled and Officer Karim resigns after seeing a video of Diaa's torture by American soldiers. Faez decides to leave Rania and travel to Turkey.
Diaa goes with Ahmed to Syria, and Helmy tells Malak that he unintentionally caused Diaa's imprisonment for his communist ideas, and how he left Iraq and traveled to Germany.
