As Fathi's wedding takes place, all members of the family of Abu Jassem (Jassem's father) offer their congratulations. Maryam complains to her mom that her husband, Jassem, doesn't care about her, while Qut waits for her fiancé, Youssef, to return from abroad so that their wedding can take place.
Abdoun quarrels with his older brother, Ghanem, and demands that he divide his father's estate between them, but Ghanem assures him that when he received their father's land, it was unsuitable for cultivation, and he is the one who took care of it.
Umm Ghanem (Ghanem's mother) asks her son to give his siblings their inheritance back, but he refuses. Ali returns from travel and tells his sister, Yaqut, that he still loves Maryam even though she got married. Jassem continues to cheat on his wife.
When Maryam quarrels with Jassem and asks him for a divorce, Ghanem believes that she did so because she is coveting his money and land.
Rashid forces his daughter, Maryam, to return to Jassem, but the latter divorces her and promises Layali that he'll marry her.
Youssef sends a letter to Mahmoud asking him to tell Qut not to wait for him and that he is breaking off their engagement. Jassem tells Hussein that he has divorced Maryam.
Ghanem is surprised by the appearance of his old flame, Nour, who asks him to help her set up a project for children.
As Abdoun falls ill, Rashid takes care of him, after which the latter asks his brother, Ghanem, to give him his right in their father's estate, but Ghanem refuses; meanwhile, Ghanem asks Nour to marry him.
Louai demands that his father, Ghanem, give his uncles their rights. Jassem asks Nour that he partner up with her on her project.
Jassem confronts his father with his desire to marry Nour. Maryam is surprised to find out that she's pregnant.
Jassem goes to remarry Maryam after discovering her pregnancy, but she refuses. Louai tells his uncle, Abdoun, that he supports him against his father, Ghanem. Hussein asks Jassem to intercede for him to finalize his marriage to Hana.
After Louai invites all his family to attend his first play, everyone is taken aback by Hana and Salman's wedding taking place on stage as they force their parents to deal with the fait accompli.
Jassem gets angry about what his sister, Hana, did and her marriage to Salman, but his father tells him that he agrees to their marriage by any means. As Youssef arrives from travel, Yaqut is shocked when she meets his foreign wife.
Yaqut collapses because of Youssef's marriage to another woman, while his mother is upset that he's ignoring her, and his brother, Ghanem, welcomes him and agrees with him that they partner up with Jassem on a project. Abdoun asks Salman to file a lawsuit for him against Ghanem.
Hussein rejects the investment project on which Jassem is partnering up with Nour and his uncle Youssef. Ghanem is surprised by the reaction of Jassem, who confirms that he has all the powers of attorney and that he has the freedom to control all the affairs.
Yaqut tells Mary that Youssef used to be in love with her and that she owned his heart, whereupon Mary quarrels with Youssef over it.
Jassem asks Maryam to quit her studies and prepare herself for childbirth, while his father is shocked when Jassem tells him that he will not allow him to distribute the property to his siblings.
As Ghanem falls seriously ill, he asks everyone to forgive him, especially Abdoun, and orders his son Jassem to address all grievances and give everyone their due.
Yaqut insists on fighting Mary and getting Youssef back. Everyone is surprised as Jassem sells his father's land and seizes everything.
Everyone stands up to Jassem and his decisions. Mary travels and leaves Youssef.
Hussein tells his father that he wants to marry his colleague, Nahla, while Youssef tries to patch things up with Yaqut.

Jassem asks Maryam to agree to his marriage to Yaqut, whereas he refuses that his brother, Louai, marry Iman.
Abu Jassem tells his son that he used to be in love with Umm Yaqut and that he caused Abu Yaqut's death. Jassem asks Yaqut's pardon for not going through with the wedding, whereupon a tragic accident occurs to him, as a result of which he dies.
